The City of Seattle Department of Finance & Administrative Services sought a
Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution to:

Improve audit revenues.

Meet the City’s LID and BIA revenue administration needs.

Position the agency to migrate its legacy tax systems, such as local option business and occupation, hotel/motel, etc. to a new, open, and integrated tax model.

For the Revenue Administration System, the City sought flexibility, adaptability, scalability, autonomy, frugality, and efficiency for the administration of LIDs and BIAs and ultimately to replace the SLIM and SELF systems.
