RSI Awarded Contract for the North Carolina DOR eServices Modernization

January 29, 2015. Pembroke, MA – Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI), a company that specializes in providing revenue and compliance management products and services to Federal, State and Municipal government agencies, is pleased to announce a contract in response to the North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) Request for Proposal for an eServices Modernization Portal Solution.

The NCDOR selected RSI and its Revenue Premier® Taxpayer Portal to upgrade the Department’s website and eServices capabilities. RSI’s Taxpayer Portal will provide North Carolina taxpayers with modern, secure, functionally rich and highly accessible online services.

This project marks yet another partnership between the NCDOR and RSI that together have successfully implemented Data Warehouse, Audit Management, Modernized eFile (MeF) and Federal/State Employment Taxes (FSET) solutions using RSI’s Revenue Premier Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) software product.

The eServices Modernization project includes three distinct implementation phases over a two year contract period. The following features will be implemented using RSI’s Revenue Premier Taxpayer Portal:

  • Implementation of a modern and secure technical architecture
  • Port of existing static content to the new eServices Portal
  • File and pay functions for existing tax types/form types
  • Online features for authenticated taxpayers, such as account balances and filing history
  • Support capabilities for IFTA/Intrastate, Motor Fuels, Online Business Registration and Streamlined Sales Tax

The contract allows for an optional Future Innovation phase to include additional capabilities that enable employers to manage garnishments online and allow taxpayers to initiate payment agreements via the portal.

This implementation expands the current Revenue Premier platform and provides the NCDOR with an excellent integrated solution to build upon as they move forward with their overall Tax Systems Modernization efforts.
