RSI is live with Release 2 of the Missouri Department of Revenue Integrated Tax System

September 28, 2017. Pembroke, MA – Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI), a company that specializes in providing revenue and compliance management products and services to federal, state and municipal government revenue, labor and child support agencies, is pleased to announce the successful implementation of Release 2 of the Integrated Tax System at the Missouri Department of Revenue. This major software release, the second of three, consisted of Withholding, all Sales and Use tax types, core compliance, and Taxpayer Portal functionality utilizing RSI’s Revenue Premier® commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Integrated Tax System solution.

Missouri has one of the most complex Sales tax in the country, collecting and distributing Sales and Use taxes on behalf of 2,343 distinct taxing jurisdictions – each with their own rates, discounts and tax holidays.

In addition to the tax types, Release 2 integrated Revenue Premier with sixteen Missouri legacy systems, including collections and Enterprise Data Warehouse, and an enhanced imaging and data capture solution.

The release also included implementation of the Revenue Premier Taxpayer Portal. The Taxpayer Portal provides a new level of taxpayer self-service for filing, payment, demographic maintenance, and soon for New Business Registration. This will significantly reduce manual data input for the Department of Revenue while providing a level of transparency and self-service functionality that taxpayers in Missouri did not have before. The portal already has over 16,000 registered users.

In addition to the business and taxpayer service improvements, the Missouri Department of Revenue has realized more than $443 million is benefits associated with the new Integrated Tax System, a return of more than 500% on their project investment.

The third and final release of the Integrated Tax System will consist of Income tax processing (both Corporate and Individual), tax credit management, and more functionality to help the Missouri Department of Revenue better serve their taxpayers.
